Automotive Modules

And there are even more features which makes these modules predestined for applications demanding special qualities: The modules meet all relevant quality standards used in the automotive sector like the VDA standard for voice transmission. In addition, they were developed in accordance with TS16949. In addition they are developed according to TS16949. Siemens offers different modules for this market: The Java™ based Quad-Band modules AC65 and AC75, the latter featuring the EDGE data-transmission standard, and the Dual-Band GPRS module AC45.

The AC45 is a GSM/GPRS-based radio module that has been optimised for tough use in the automotive sector. The exceptionally fast data transfer via GPRS facilitates the realization of any conceivable application in this field.

In view of the relatively long product cycles in the automotive sector, Cinterion Wireless Modules also guarantees long availability of its radio module. On top of all this, the AC45 is the first module to incorporate SIM Access Profile (SAP). This means that all voice and telematic services within a vehicle can access information on the cell phone's SIM card via Bluetooth, without the driver having to take the card out of the phone.
